In 2012, Signo 13 was born. Lead at first by Felipe Rodríguez (Os Gatunos, Under the Ruins, Luiza Fria, Vultos) sang in Portuguese, he played all the instruments like an “one man band”, mixing influences and references of Post Punk, Hardcore and Surf Music.
Since then, two EPs had been launched (“El Verdugo y La Vendetta” – 2012, and “Espectros de Ferro” – 2013), and Signo 13 had made part of some collections released in and out of Brazil; the band were also, with several songs in the soundtrack of the awarded Brazilian movie “Cidadão Brazza” directed by Peterson Paim. Signo 13 played in important alternative places and gone thru some formations. Today the band plays as a power trio, with Felipe Rodríguez (guitar and voice) Douglas Almeida (bass) and Marcelo Melo (drums).
At the moment the guys are recording the third EP and making some music videos for 2014; they are involved also with a local artist’s project called F.O.D.A. pública (translated for english would be like “Dynamic Party Occupation of Public Areas) “refreshing revival” of public spaces with cultural activities.
